Both series use the same patented PYROCERAM glass-ceramic material with identical heat resistance, non-porosity, and safety properties. The only difference is color — Amber is the warm golden classic introduced in 1983, while Cranberry is a deeper red tone introduced later. All compatibility (gas, electric, microwave, oven, dishwasher) is identical across both lines.
No. Because glass-ceramic is not magnetic, Visions cookware is not compatible with induction cooktops. It works on gas, standard electric coil, and smooth-top electric stovetops, as well as in the microwave and conventional oven.
Visions saucepans are available in 1L, 1.5L, and 2.5L capacities (approximately 1, 1.6, and 2.6 quarts). The 1.5L is the most popular everyday size for sauces, soups, and reheating, while the 2.5L is better suited for pasta, grains, and larger portions.
